Breeder Categories
Organize your rabbitry with custom categories. Group breeders by purpose, quality, breed line, or any system that works for your operation. Categories help you filter, report, and manage rabbits more efficiently.

Best Practices
🎯 Start Simple
Begin with 3-5 broad categories. You can always create more specific categories as your needs evolve.
🎯 Use Clear Names
Choose descriptive category names that will be immediately understood. Avoid abbreviations or codes that might be confusing later.
🎯 Be Consistent
Develop a naming convention and stick to it. For example, always use "Quality" not mixing "Quality" and "Grade".
🎯 Review Regularly
Periodically review your categories to ensure they still serve your needs. Re-categorize breeders as their status changes.
Organization Strategies
Different approaches to categorizing your rabbitry:
Single-Purpose System
Example: Categories based only on quality
- Show Quality
- Brood Quality
- Pet Quality
- Cull
Best for: Small rabbitries with straightforward goals
Multi-Purpose System
Example: Categories combining purpose and status
- Show - Active
- Show - Retired
- Brood - Proven
- Brood - Unproven
Best for: Larger operations needing more detail
Project-Based System
Example: Categories for breeding projects
- Blue Project
- Type Improvement
- Size Reduction
- Color Development
Best for: Breeders working on specific goals
